So I got home from my Ultimate Frisbee tournament today and decided that I could benefit from a nap, which turned out to be exactly the right thing to do. "Man I love sleeping. I wish I could wake up so I could go back to sleep again."
This next dream is very odd, and occurred during this wonderful 3 hour nap. In this dream, I found myself in a huge castle on a large rock in the sky. You know those rocks that are depicted in movies or games or whatever that look like upside down mountains? Thats what this rock looked like, with a pretty castle on top. Now this castle was either flying really quickly up or really quickly down in the sky, I'm not sure which. Lots a pretty white fluffy clouds going by. It somehow reminded me of Final Fantasy, but I don't know how.
Now I was actually out in front of the main entrance of the castle, and I had to call my dad because he was planning to come visit me at college in the next week, and we had to make arrangements. On the phone (which kept getting staticky, maybe cuz we were flying thru the sky) my dad starting telling me about how he was leaving his job; I think he was leaving so he'd have more time to work on the house, but I'm not sure. But i think I somehow got the impression that my family was just about out of money, which was making me feel really guilty about going to college. When I was done on the phone, my roommate drew walked over to a bed that was near me. He had a large bale of barbed wire around his ankles, and both his ankles had about 6 evently spaced vertical slits around them; each had 3 or 4 stitches in it. The barbed wire was apparently supposed to be some sort of fashion statement. I asked him why he had barbed wire on his ankles if it had already cut him up so much, but he just shrugged. Just TRY to read into that one. If you come up with anything, email me: flipzfrawg@juno.com .
I miss eric! ... and I guess I kinda miss my dad too.

I was away in Chicago for an ultimate frisbee tournament this weekend, and it was very much fun. But I think the most interesting part was the dream that I had Saturday night. In this dream, I was walking with Eric (my best friend from home) down some wooden steps similar to those that we had at Camp Roger, where we had our dorm retreat a few weeks ago. I was a bit behind him on the stairs, and wanted to get up in front of him, but each time i would move to a side to get around, he would just so happen to move to the same side. Not like he was trying to keep me from passing him, but maybe it could be read that I have issues with always thinking that Eric is better than me? Or maybe these things really shouldnt be read into.
But eventually, we got to the bottom, and there was a lake in front of us and a small stream off to the right with a bridge going across.
Eric's dog was tied up near the bridge, which is actually very similar to what its actually like at his house, with the doghouse and bridge and small stream. But the dog (i forget her name... it started with nic... something like nicorette? nicoragua? nicotine? i dunno) needed water, so Eric handed me the water bowl to fill it up from the lake while he checked out the mud in the stream. This part reminds me of when Eric and I were goofing around in my pond in the mushy muddy area. But I was coming back with the water when he suddenly sunk completely into the mud up over his head. I was quite upset about this! I ran over and dove my hands into the mud and found his arms and started pulling. I'm still upset because I don't know the outcome. I woke up before I found out if he got out of the mud or if he drowned in it. Either way, I was very upset when I woke up, and realized I really miss Eric. I wish I had called him today.
Now, some background that I couldn't give before the dream so that it wouldnt give it away. We watched the movie, "The Scorpion King," which is, in fact, the cheesiest movie ever made. And I think the Rock could actually be a good actor.... as long as the writers didn't give him cheesy one-liners and have him doing fake pro-wrestling moves throughout the movie. But at one point, the Rock's enemies kept sinking down in quicksand, and that is probably part of what prompted my dream. Tada! the end.
