Last night I went to some sort of Class Reunion for my high school (though there were many people there I didn't know). I mostly hung around Steff and Sarah, and my ex-girlfriend, Lindsay, was there, too. Lindsay kept interrupting Sarah and Steff, and one time when she did it, I backslapped her across the face. She seemed like she was used to that kind of treatment, and instead of being outraged, she just shut up. (Maybe I'll have to remember that technique?) Then some song came on, and someone was doing an announcement, and Steff and Sarah skipped over towards the announcer in time with the song, shoving their way through the throng of people. I went over to the snacksy table to get a drink, and instead of getting a regular sized cup, I got a HUGE one. If it were sitting on the ground, the top would come up to my waist, it was that big. I put some soda in the bottom, and drank some, and then followed some of my friends out of the room. I was walking with Johanna, Sam, and others, and we went to an elevator. There was a weird looking man in the elevator with us, and when we got out of the elevator he made some sort of commotion with some of us, and ended up wrestling with them, kinda. I stopped them, and then explained that he was one of my professors at Calvin.
Later, we were all outside, and someone was calling off names over a loudspeaker system. As your name was called, you were supposed to walk down the street and give an update on your life. One girl, when called, came out and started talking about how she had cancer. Then when she got to the end of the road, she stopped and turned around like she had something else to say, but the announcer called another name, and she seemed disappointed that people no longer cared about her.

It's been a long time since I've been able to remember a dream:

Ben Horning was having a dinner party, and I was there early to help set up. I actually spent the night before, I think, so that we'd have plenty of time to set up. That would explain why I was in my boxers when I started helping him with preparations. Heather Young/Spraut was there, sitting at the table next to the fridge. I sat for a bit to talk to her, and it was pleasant, and then the doorbell rang. I got up and said, "I'll get it," but when I got to the door, I realized I was still only in boxers, so I said, "as soon as I'm wearing more than just underwear!" I changed and came back, and Bob buzzard came in, but he was very different. He was tall, blonde, pale, and skinny with no muscle. This is not bob buzzardesque at all. I was confused. But I wasn't confused for long, because there was a....

SCENE CHANGE!

Now I was in an old house with Ben Wright and *i think* armin. Ben was sitting by the front door, which I think was locked, looking like he was going to cry. I kneeled down to talk to him:

"Ben, what day is it?"

*no response*

"Is it Friday the 13th?"

*nod*

"And are we in a haunted house?"

*nod*

"Well, there ya go. There's no safer place to be on Friday the 13th. All the weird stuff happens everywhere else, and a haunted house is the only normal place on Friday the 13th."

He didn't seem convinced. Then his eyes opened wide in terror, and I looked behind me. Armin was there on all fours, growling at us and baring his teeth. The lights flickered, and he jumped to attack us. We ran into the kitchen, and I saw dog bowls on the floor. At that point I knew that there used to be a maniac cannibal who lived in the house, but a man who lived there took care of him and treated him like a dog. I guess the ghost of the cannibal dogman took over Armin. Armin followed us into the kitchen, and now he had some sort of mechanical arm coming off of his back that tapered off in sections; the part on his back was a wide cylinder, but as it arched up over his head and in front of his face, it became smaller and smaller, until the very end just looked kind of like a spring. Armin attached the end of the spring to Ben, who shrank down to a very very small size, and was stuck on the end of the spring. I jumped on Armin's back and grabbed the arm, moving my hands down it's length until I reached the springy end. At that point.... I woke up.
