I dreamt last night that I was at a concert. The band was made up of people I knew from High School: Eric Hill was on drums, Missy Haas was on electric guitar, Greg Aldin was playing Bass, and Matt Stafford was the lead singer. Matt did a lot of stomping around on stage. Donna was running the sound board, but she just running the sliders up and down, with no attention to whether it not the sound was good. The band had compiled some strange soundtracks and videos from video games which they projected up on a huge screen, and one of the clips had Matt's image in the game instead of the video game character.
I followed the guys home and watched them play video games. On the way, there was a wall with a large vagina spraypainted on it. Aside that, someone had written, "If you're reading this, you're already doomed."
It was fun :)

Last night, I was trying to find a new place to live, and received a letter telling me that i had received permission to add an expansion to my current apartment. This was pretty exciting because I really just want one more room in THIS apartment (and also a second bathroom, maybe).
I had to drive to work, and was walking out to my car when I saw three suspicious people walking toward a black SUV next to my car. On my way there, two guys stopped me and told me that I had to die soon, but I got to pick the way that I was going to die. I didn't like this idea at all, but they kept telling me how if I were married and died, the person to whom I was married would receive a pension equal to my current work pay. This really wasn't all that great of a comfort, but I realized I had to get married soon so my death could help someone. They asked me how I would like to die, but I couldn't get over the idea of HAVING to die (sounds like a certain book to me), so they just started making suggestions. I think they thought that because I'm a Christian, crucifixion would be the best option, though I couldn't imagine that would be the case. I continued walking to my car.
When I got in, the other three suspicious people got into my car, too. Somehow I had gotten into my own back seat and reached up to lock the passenger door, but not the driver's side door. They were telling me something, but I could only think of how I needed to get away. The person in the driver's seat had an MP3 player, so I grabbed the headphone cord and tried to strangle them with it. I think I had learned some Alias style moves, and used them to get away.
Later that night while I was sleeping (in my apartment, which felt backwards in my head, kind of like my parents' home does whenever I dream about it) I heard some strange noises and became worried, but didn't find anything when I checked it out. I turned off the loud air conditioner and fell back asleep. Then I woke up again in the middle of the night, got Jen up, and went out to the living room (which looked more like Helen and Kelly's living room). I was talking to Jen and she nonchalantly mentioned, "all the bikes." I didn't know what she was talking about, but when I turned around, there were brand new bikes all around the apartment, including up on the ledge near the ceiling. There was also an elliptical machine for Jen. Apparently the Mafia wanted to recruit me, and were trying to woo me with gifts such as these. Curious, very curious.
When I woke up, I had opened the box for some car speakers and had strewn screws and things around my bed. Leo was playing with them.

In my dream this morning, I was walking with two friends. We were coming back from something we had attended, and I saw my sunglasses sitting in the back of a truck with hay in it. I leaned over the side of the truck to get them, and saw there were more pairs of sunglasses. I started grabbing as many as I could, but suddenly there were people in the back of the truck watching me try to get up over the side of the truck to get the sunglasses. I wasn't being very successful and ended up tipping over the truck, which then became a boat in water.
All of us were then in a pool and I realized that we were the cast and crew of a movie. I was going around to the different guys and chatting with them, and I still had the multiple sunglasses in my hands. Three of us went down to the bottom of the pool and pushed off with all our might, sending up sailing into the sky. We were then skydiving. I had lost a couple of my pairs of sunglasses and was trying to maneuver myself to grab them from the sky, but I couldn't get to one of them without going dangerously fast towards the ground. I wondered to myself how badly they would shatter.

I dreamt last night that I was supposed to go to a meeting to hire someone for a city council, but I couldn't find my way there. While I was trying to find my way, I met up with Jen, who was also late for an important meeting. My sister called me while I was driving too fast in the rain, and I nearly ran into eighty things, plus I went the wrong way around a police barrier and almost got hit. It was scary.

I had the most restless night last night, and it's all due to the game Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life!
I dreamt that I was doing all sorts of farmingy type things. I'm pretty sure I wandered to various places around the apartment and fell asleep there, such as on the couches. I would half awaken to find myself somewhere different or in some strange position in my bed and no recollection of how I got there.
At one point I also dreamt that I was getting a dog from the WMRL, since I just couldn't resist anymore. When I was there, there was a litter of maybe four puppies to be adopted. The employee I was talking to handed me one of them, but I was adamant about checking out each one. I found the perfect one (with floppy ears, just like in Harvest Moon!), and his name was Roxy. I was excited about changing his name. I specifically remember leaning down to check if he was a boy or a girl... and he had various shaved patched on his back due to scientific experimentation. When I went to the front desk to sign paperwork (the adoption fee was only $30!), Meghan struck up a little conversation with me, but I was too tired to talk to her much. I remember worrying about the fact that I hadn't checked with Jen before getting a dog...

I had a dream last night that went through a bunch of different places.
In one situation, I was on a missions trip or something and was with a bunch of guys I know, including Tim Spraut and two guys I work with (Curt and Steve). Tim and I sat around and chatted for a while. I think that there was water dripping from the ceiling around the whole room, and it kind of reminded me of the movie Hero. Tim pointed out that we had received mail, so I looked to see if there was anything for me. There were two legos catalogs and a letter from my sister that had a preaddressed and stamped envelope inside. This is when I realized that I was back in New Zealand and worried that the preaddressed envelope might not have enough postage.
I was then on a bus with a bunch of elementary and high schoolers. I ended up sitting with this little girl with whom I talked. She wanted to write to me, so I wrote down my name as "That boy with blue eyes and blonde hair" on the back of a receipt I happened to be holding.
I think at some point I was at some high school party...
And was then in some sort of cave with my friend jean from work and a bunch of other people. I was on my way to returning to my own world (because I was in an alternate universe) through a crevice in the ceiling from which a knotted rope hung. I started climbing the rope, but my body got really tired really quickly and I couldn't make it. I came down and let the others climb up, then used a chair and a desk to get up farther so I could make it to the top.
As I climbed out, my dad went down into the hole, and I had to go back down and get him. I put my head down in the hole, but couldn't see anything clearly because I didn't have my glasses on (which is weird because I don't need glasses anymore). I climbed back down and started searching for him in all the beds that were down there (there were many). I went around a corner into another room and found him in a bed and knew that he had had sex with Jean. I stalked out and Jean walked towards me from another hallway and I pounced on her and began beating the crap out of her for seducing my dad. She couldn't see what she did wrong, but I continued to beat her up and throw her around.
The end?

There was an awesome thunderstorm last night, and I can't remember if my dream came before or after waking up to the thunderstorm at 3am.
Jen and I were driving around somewhere a little bit south of downtown kalamazoo and we saw a cool ferry we wanted to ride on. So we left my car in a parking lot and got on the ferry, which took us to the other side of a river. When we got there, there was a giant mutant space insect attacking a bunch of people. I went a little closer to check it out while Jen went to (I think) a fast food restaurant near the river. I turned back and Jen was walking towards me when I saw another giant space insect land on the fast food place she had just come from and start attacking it.
I pulled Jen into a bank so we would be safe, and then I kept thinking how it would have been smarter to hide somewhere that might have food and beds in case we got stuck there for a while during the insect attack.
Eventually, the insects just left and we took the ferry back to the other side of the river. We decided to find somewhere to have a nice dinner, but both of our cars were in the parking lot. We took Jen's car, which was an SUV, and the kitties were with us. We all went out to dinner and played (I think) in a park for the kitties' benefit. When night fell, we went back to the car. I was really impressed because Lexi and Leo just came when I called them and jumped into the car. I really do like to pretend that they're dogs!
Then we started to drive back to my car, but realized that we didn't know where it was. We continued driving around trying to find it alllll through the night and the next morning. We eventually came across this older guy who joined us in the search. We ended up going to the top of some bell tower to look around the surrounding area to see if we could see my car. Nope, but there were these two old guys just chillin on a porch. Weird.
We went back down the bell tower and ended up in my new apartment, which was bigger and nice than this one. I think I had moved out while Jen kept the old one. I had a feeling I was still moving in, but was surprised to find that the fridge was fully stocked. I think I had five jars of pasta sauce!
I was surprised to see the cats in this new apartment because I thought they were staying at the old one... I remember I had two nice porches as well...
Somehow while continuing to look for my car, I ended up at Danricc's parents' new house, which was huge. I remember complimenting his mom on having accumulated enough stuff to fill such a big house, and then I almost knocked over some sort of valuable ceramic antique.
We continued to look for my car for at least three days, and I remember there was some sort of magic element to our search, but that's all I've got.

Last night I was part of a husband/wife spy type team who had to rescue their son. I kept telling my wife (who looked surprisingly like Lois griffin from Family Guy) that she had to do something else while I SCUBAd to find the kid, but she insisted on coming along. Then I became a third party SCUBAer who was very inexperienced in the spy biz. When I came across an enemy SCUBAer, I tried to hold his head under water (after somehow disabling his SCUBA gear), but I kept bringing his head very close to the surface. Then I tried to shove him into the wheelwell of a submerged car, but couldn't get him to stay in there. That's when I realized that I was actually trying to drown not a person, but a cat, and the cat became leo! I WAS TRYING TO DROWN LEO!!! I quickly brought him up for air and promptly quit the spy business.

Last night's dream was all about High School and riding the bus.
I had already graduated college, but was planning to take some high school courses. Apparently that was a semi-normal thing to do. I wasn't sure which classes I wanted to take, but I thought maybe I would try some Spanish classes. I was walking with Jen out to the bus stop (yes, I was going to take the bus) and the bus was approaching when I realized I didn't even have a bookbag, and thus I wasn't nearly prepared for school. I stepped backwards rapidly away from the bus stop so that the bus driver wouldn't stop needlessly, and then realized I didn't need to ride the bus anyway, since I could easily just drive.
My next scene was in a room that was used for observing some classes that were taking place outside. The one we were observing (so that I could decide if I wanted to enroll in some classes at this particular school or not) was a science class, maybe physics, but it was rather elementary. The students had to get water to fall from something that was hanging into something that was stuck into a table. I think the only purpose of the session was to learn that a larger bowl could catch water more easily than a smaller one. I heard multiple students say something about "surface area." Yeah, elementary. But I was planning on taking Spanish, not science. I'm good with science.
Then I was on the bus home, I believe, but the cafeteria lady from MPI was in the back of the bus serving me alcoholic beverages. When I opened up my wallet to pay her, I had a pile of twenties and lots of other bills, which is strange since I never carry cash. I paid what i hope was an appropriate amount to cover tip and realized that I had not gotten off the bus at my stop. I tried to get off at the upper entrance to my family's property (yes this is in pennsylvania, where all my bus-riding memories take place, and the "upper entrance" is the one by frieden's church), but couldn't get out of the bus for some reason. Fortunately Kenneth Seyfert was on the bus, and he offered to give me a ride home since we live so close together.
We (as in a large number of already-graduated students) got off the bus, which was no longer a bus but a train. We watched it approach a junction in the railroad tracks and saw that another train was coming up the other track. We didn't know what to do so we just watched in fear, wondering if the trains would collide and come careening off the tracks at us. Fortunately the second train only barely hit the back end of the first, putting a large scratch in the back end. The conductor of the first train got off after both trains stopped and gave us a lesson on how to warn a conductor of impending doom.
I was then back in my high school, and we were rehearsing for a concert. I couldn't tell which band was playing at the time, and I couldn't remember which instrument I was playing for that band. Eventually I walked out into the auditorium and my bell choir from college was waiting to rehearse, conducted by none other than Mrs. Stephanie Wiltse! I started playing with them, but then had to get back on stage for another quick band rehearsal before the concert began. There were suits set out for everyone, but I already had nice clothes on for bell choir (and in HS there were always some of us who wore some of the wrong clothes if we didn't have time to change between different groups). Suddenly the concert was starting! It began with the band, and Grant Smoker was conducting. The first thing he did was press play on a CD player, which began blasting some hardcore rock music. Nick jumped up on stage with his guitar, plugged it in, and began playing along with the music. I was excited to see how the rest of the band was incorporated, but they never got to join in. After about 30 seconds of nick and the CD, one of my professors from Calvin walked on stage, turned off the music, and declared how disappointed she was in the performance, declaring the concert cancelled.
And that's all I can remember. The End.
