Last night I was envisioning that it was my last day of "subbing" for a job with a paper company. No doubt this has to do with the fact that I've been substitute teaching and I guess the fact that I like the show The Office?

Anyway, it was the last day, and I had become really good friends with nearly everyone in that office and we were all sad I would be going. We tried to make it a fun day by having music playing through the large stereo system they had. Unfortunately, when the boss came in to talk to us, none of us could figure out how to turn the music off. I was trying everything I could, but when I tried to turn down the volume, it would go down to level 22 and then start again from level 75! I found out a little later that I got in trouble for messing with the radio when I should have been listening to the boss.

At one point, I was really confused regarding how a substitute teacher became a substitute paper employee. When I looked into it, I found that this particular company was almost solely focused on producing paper items like fliers and brochures for a college. That almost made sense.

At this point in the dream, some of the people in this office were becoming characters from THE Office, so Dwight was there and some of the other employees were playing a strange joke on him involving a military satellite phone, which he took into the storage room. I came walking out of the bathroom, right by the storage room, when he stepped out with an angry look on his face; clearly he had figured out he was being pranked. He gave me an angry glare as if I were the one who pranked him, and for some reason I couldn't bring my arm down from shielding my face.

The bell rang and I stepped outside to leave. One of the guys from the office followed me out and we stood outside in the sun for a bit. He stuttered and stumbled, but eventually professed his love for me! hah! I didn't know what to say so I went back inside. I saw that even though the work day was over, everyone was still working hard so I decided to stay and help even though I didn't have to (because I'm a good little worker bee!)

At this point I realized I was going to leave all these great friends I had made, so I started writing notes for people with my number on them. Unfortunately, I couldn't remember most of their names. I think one of the girls, whom I liked, could tell I couldn't remember her name, so while I was going to leave the note on her desk, she asked me to put it in her mailbox. jerk ;) The last person I came to was Pam. I told her how impressed I was by her and Jim, and asked if I could give them a call later. I asked if I could have Jim's number, which caught her off guard. I said that it would probably be more appropriate to give him a call than to call her, but it seemed as if she'd gotten in trouble for giving out his number before. She began giving me their numbers at the office. Boo.

The End

PS: There was another dream in which I was home in PA and decided to take some of my friends to meet Greg Maust. When I got there and went inside, I had to apologize to his parents for arriving so late at night. Also, I realized I was standing there in only my underwear, so I excused myself for a moment and searched through my car for clothes. All I could find were purple cutoff corduroy shorts, so I put them on with a t-shirt and my sankofa shirt over that. Unfortunately it seemed as if I had grabbed someone else's sankofa shirt, which was purple instead of black. Purple fail. As I finished getting dressed, Greg came out and walked up behind me. He told me he had a surprise for me and to be careful not to drop "him" as he placed a multilegged creature on my head. I reached up, trembling a bit, to feel a large furry tarantula on my head. I didn't move a muscle and it hopped off into the trunk of my car. It was green and black and supercreepy.

The End for realz.
