Because of the game Bully, I dreamed that I had left my bike at the mall. I took my truck to the mall to go pick it up, but the mall had just closed. I sweettalked the ladies just inside the door to let me come in and get my bike. While I was in there I thought maybe I owed it to the lady who ran the kiosk bookstore to buy something, so I asked if she had anything new by Stephanie Meyer (dummmmmmb) but while she had novels about vampires, Stephanie Meyer had not written a new book for the Twilight series. I couldn't decided what to purchase and thought I might just grab a book at random, since I had to buy something to show my appreciation!
I loaded my bike into my truck and drove into town (I don't know which town, but I think it was a little country town). Night turned into day and I came upon the site where people were setting up for a parade. I got out my bike and hopped on it only to see there was a huge gash out of the front tire, which was now clearly flat and useless. I got out my phone to look up a good place to buy a bike tire. As I was waiting for my phone to load, I looked over and saw a van set up as a mobile shop with sports equipment. There was an older gentleman working in the van and I went over to ask him where the best place would be to get a bike tire. As I was asking him this, my bike turned into a water bottle and I could no longer figure out why I was asking for a place to buy a bike tire!
The older gentleman started walking with me and we came to my parents' house. We went right up to the third floor to my bedroom which was filled with oversized books. One in particular which he was showing me was about sea creatures and such. I felt like he had talked to me about this subject before and I felt bad for not remembering more about it. My dad started coming up the stairs and the older gentleman walked out of my room.
As my dad reached the top of the stairs, I saw Charlie pulling at a pair of pants my dad was using as a dog toy. I reprimanded him for using clothing as a dog toy, which would only encourage the dogs to chew up people's clothes. My dad was sheepish about it but didn't stop. He continued as Charlie pulled him through my room. I walked around the third floor hallway to the back corner and was laying on the ground when my dad came out the door from the back room with Charlie.
I wandered downstairs and was suddenly sneaking into a secret passage that went underground. I knew I was being followed by someone (I think I knew it was Eric Shaeffer) and wanted to stay out of sight. I jumped up onto some stairs and was trying to pull myself through a doorway I had never seen before. I couldn't get my foot out of the lower hallway without much effort. I worried that Eric might have seen my foot! After getting my foot through the door, I continued sneaking up and found myself in Calvin's second, rarely used, chapel. I was super excited about having found a secret way in and was contemplating creating a Phantom-of-the-Opera-type persona by coming in when the building is locked and playing the organ and all hours of the night.
I was crawling on the floor in the dark toward a stage and saw something move on the ground. I thought it might be a dust bunny but kept watching it. It moved again, and it was actually a real bunny!
I turned back to the stage and saw someone move. Then I saw someone else move! Then the lights came up and a song and dance number began! One person was dressed as a statue with one large Mickey-Mouse-type glove on his left hand. Then I saw that the lead role was played by Meredith Bytwerk, who was a friend of mine while I was at Calvin. I couldn't see how she was still attending Calvin. Either she was still a student after 7 years so that she could continue to have roles in the theatre company, or she had gone back to Calvin to work in the Theatre department so that she could continue to take roles in the productions!
She was dancing and singing as she came out closer and closer to me. Then she was startled and looked over my head past where I was laying secretively on the ground and said, "Eric Shaeffer!? What are you doing here??" (Let's keep in mind that there's no way Meredith would know Eric) Apparently Eric was sitting in the chair next to where I was hiding and I had not escaped his pursuit as I'd thought I had. Then he pointed down to me so that Meredith saw me, too, and she was doubly shocked.
The end.

1. Band Room
I found myself back home during Homecoming weekend (interesting how that happens sometimes). I was hanging out at my High School in the band room with some of the people in my grade such as Larry, Aaron, and I think Donna. We were just hanging out and talking over in the Clarinet section.
2. Hotel Room
We got into our hotel room for our Spring Leadership conference. There was a married couple and a single lady in the hotel room, and the room was huge and gorgeous, though it had a very ugly color scheme with a combination of orange and olive green. The strange part about the hotel room was that there were no beds, but there was a couch that folded out into a bed. So I opened up the couch bed as we settled in. We then left the room for a bit and when we came back that couch had been replaced by a non-fold out loveseat. I called the front desk. I remember giving my full name (Jesse Test) and that I had a hard time reading the number on our room door (I think it was 3086, but I kept starting with "Thirty-eight..."). I told the man on the phone, whose name was James I believe, that our only bed had been taken out of our room. He seemed familiar with it because he was the one who had come up to remove the bed/couch. I kept telling him that we needed it back, but it had been taken to Derrick and Jamie's room instead. The people in my room were getting uncomfortable because I was so upset and was starting to yell. "I NEED SOMEWHERE TO SLEEP!" I yelled as the wife in the room tried to tell me it wasn't important and she was fine with not having a bed. James was wholly unsympathetic and ended our conversation saying he had emails to which he must attend. At this point I woke up still feeling extremely angry and planning on how I was going to go down to the front desk with whatever bat-like object I could find on my way. I was going to smash his computer monitor and yell at him, "Have fun reading your emails now!" I hoped I could beat him sufficiently before security got to me.
3. Another Hotel Room?
I was on a trip with the reunion tour of the Singing Boys of Pennsylvania and we were in a different type of hotel room in a Bed and Breakfast type place. We were the only occupants of the whole bed & breakfast, so we just left all the doors open. It was late in the evening, everyone was asleep, and the lights were all off. I was working by moonlight to clean up all the cat litter in the house. I can still see one fiberglass box that sat at about head height next to a litter box. This fiberglass box had all the scooped out dirty cat litter, and I was putting it in a trash bag to take outside. I hoped I would have enough time to take care of all the litter before we had to leave.
4. Treasure Room
I had found the destination of my treasure hunt, which was a room with a barred door. I was fearful that once I entered the room the door would lock and I'd be unable to get out again. I used the two barred windows on either side of the door to try and test whether I'd be able to open the door from the inside. Once I was confident that my arm would fit through the window bars (thus allowing me to reach out and open the door from the outside if locked inside) I entered the room to find three big guys hanging out. One was in a bathtub, one was just chillin', and the third was apparently the subject of a joke which was being voice-overed into the room. As the joke progressed, the changes described were taking place in real life. Part of the subject guy became pixelated, for example.
5. A Bit of Murder
The last dream I had was pretty intricate. I was in a barn remodeled as a house and was pulling blue backpacks out of a larger bag I had brought to the house with me. In each one was a folded up body of a police officer I had killed. As I pulled each body out, I shot it through the badge with my gun, pulled the badge off for my collection, and put the body on the bed. As I was doing this a police car pulled up outside the large barn door. I "took care of" one more body and went out to greet the officer who was investigating the missing people. I was really nervous as he came in, but made good conversation with him. I had just run out of bullets in my gun and would have to reload if I wanted to shoot this officer, too. I knew I would never get that done before he shot me, so I was dependent on my conversational skills in order to get him to leave. He asked if I had been at a particular person's house. I couldn't understand the name he was saying, but said that I'd stopped by his house for a short chat and left. The officer and I started walking down the road and talking and he came to like me quite a bit.
At one point the scene changed to the hallway in my parents' third floor and the officer changed to an old lady. For some reason our conversation turned to how some people think I look like a girl (not true at all, but I do have an issue with people confusing my name, Jesse, with the girl's name). The little old lady said, "I don't see it..." but then she looked closer at my face. At the same time I saw my reflection in a window on a bookcase and noticed that it was looking more feminine. She said, "Oh, i guess I can see it a little bit." I responded with, "You have no idea how many times people have said my sister and I look alike."
The scene changed back and the little old lady was once again a male police officer. We returned to his car, laughing and talking jovially. He gave me his card, got in his car, and left. I went back into the house and was working on figuring out where I would put my bodies.
Gruesome, eh?

After the first storyline that took place last night, I hoped that it would continue throughout the night when I fell back to sleep. I was granted that wish! I fell asleep and had three separate but connected dreams last night. The last one took less than 15 minutes, because I remember looking at the clock just before I feel back to sleep and then again when I woke.
1. I was in Washington D.C. for a conference, but Heather and Brandon had yet to show up. (Throughout this story, Brandon transitions into a different person named Carl so I'll go with that name) In real life, these two recently broke up after dating for a while, but in my dream they were still planning to ride from Pennsylvania to D.C. with the same person. We were in our second day of the conference and I was worried that they had not yet arrived. I was waiting for them on top of a building with a beautiful old gothic style, including some amazing skylights. Some of these skylights were raised, and some were more like glass block windows.
At last, Carl and Heather showed up and joined some of us on the roof, look quite worn out. I asked them how a three hour car trip took them more than a day. Heather responded that it takes that long to get from PA to D.C. by way of MEXICO (she put a lot of emphasis on the word) when riding in a beat up white Volkswagen beetle in order to accompany an acquaintance who was smuggling drugs! As the two shared, they pointed out that it was particularly difficult to have shared such a long, awkward car trip with each other after having so recently broke up.
Carl was especially upset about this, and startled laying down a guilt trip, pointing out that it was PARTICULARLY hard for him after he had chosen to become a guardian of Hell in order to protect her. He could not go back on that arrangement now that they were no longer dating. At this point I realized that I was taking part in the storyline of the Twilight series. I racked my brain to think of where in the story this took place, but realized that it must be a new section! Heather was playing the part of Bella, and I could not tell if she was something otherworldly or simply human, but I knew that I was either a vampire or werewolf because I could feel the strength running through me. I think Carl had become something other than a vampire or werewolf, perhaps some sort of demon, though he was still mostly human.
Heather was irate that Carl would throw his choice to become non-human in her face. After all, it was his decision and she never asked him to do it. She was so angry she was stomping her feet. I looked down and saw that she was on one of the glass block skylights. With one stomp she cracked the window, and with the next she shattered the blocks and began falling through! Fortunately, with my superhuman (vampire or werewolf!?) speed and strength, I caught her before she went through and placed her on the roof. She and Carl continued their conversation like nothing had happened. Apparently we were confident that we did not have to fear for Heather's safety while Carl and I were around.
